New track this month, and it's one I sat with for a long time.

The piece started from a field recording — actual dripping water from a hike I did last spring, where the snowpack was coming apart faster than it should have been. I looped a few seconds of that drip, ran it through Maths as an envelope follower, and used it to trigger little melodic fragments out of Plaits. So the water is literally playing the synth. As the track goes on, the drips speed up, and so does everything else. It's not subtle about what it's about.

It's the most "outside" a track of mine has felt, if that makes sense. Less bedroom, more weather.

A real thank-you to everyone on the Patreon who got the stems two weeks ago — your notes genuinely shaped the final mix. The string-pad pass got quieter because three of you, independently, said it was crowding the drips. You were right.
